The 10 most expensive states to visit a pediatrician

Alaska is the most expensive U.S. state to visit a pediatrician in, according to research from the Birth Injury Lawyers Group based on CMS data. 

While the average Medicare cost to visit a pediatrician is $177.90 nationwide, in Alaska, it can be as high as $233.63, according to a May 9 press release sent to Becker's. 

Here are the 10 most expensive states to visit a pediatrician, and the average maximum Medicare cost for a new client: 

1. Alaska: $233.63

2. Virginia: $204.57 

3. Maryland: $198.97

4. New Jersey: $196.17

5. California: $191.65

6. Connecticut: $190.87

7. Massachusetts: $189.46

8. New York: $189.24

9. Hawaii: $188.11

10. Rhode Island: $184.89
