HCA Florida Northwest Hospital in Margate, Fla., has announced the addition of Victor Jaffe, DO, as its new chief medical officer, South Florida Hospital News reported Feb. 4.

Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger Health has named Jason Mitchell, MD, as its new executive vice president and chief medical officer.

Mara Groom, DO, has been named CMO for Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Avera Medical Group, the physician network affiliated with Avera Health, KIWA Radio reported Dec. 1. 

Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Avera Medical Group has tapped Mara Groom, DO, as its new chief medical officer. 

Jennifer Rogers, MD, has been named the new chief medical officer of Olean (N.Y.) General Hospital and Bradford (Pa.) Regional Medical Center, the Olean Times Herald reported Nov. 18. 

Clearwater, Fla.-based BayCare Medical Group has tapped Timothy Liesching, MD, as its new vice president and chief medical officer. 

Evvy, a female-founded biotech startup, has appointed Kate McLean, MD, as the company's first chief medical officer.

Muskegon, Mich.-based Hackley Community Care has appointed Byron Varnado, MD, as its new chief medical officer, Shoreline Media reported Oct. 14. 

HCA Florida Ocala Hospital has appointed Dave MacIntyre, DO, as its new chief medical officer. He will also serve as CMO of HCA Florida West Marion Hospital, also in Ocala, effective immediately.
