Teaneck, N.J.-based Holy Name Medical Center's general surgery residency program achieved full accreditation from Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.
By earning the accreditation, Holy Name's program will now be eligible to receive funding from CMS, and its residents will be eligible for board examinations, according to a May 24 news release from the health system shared with Becker's. Its internal medicine residency program is still under accreditation review.
The health system said it expects to add its first resident cohort in summer 2025.
