Another state moves to revamp physician assistant title

Oregon legislators passed a bill March 6 that would change the title of physician assistant to physician associate.

The bill contains other healthcare provisions and will now be sent to the desk of Gov. Tina Kotek for her signature, according to a March 8 news release from the American Academy of Physician Associates. The bill would become effective after being signed by Ms. Kotek and 91 days after the adjournment of the 2023 legislative session.
