The Orlando Guardians, a professional football team in the XFL league, has named Rothman Orthopaedic Institute as the team's official orthopedic physicians.
Daryl Osbahr, MD, will serve as head orthopedic surgeon and Michelle Mullins, MD, will serve as head primary care team physician, according to a March 15 release from Rothman Orthopaedics.
Dr. Osbahr specializes in orthopedic sports medicine and currently serves as medical director for orthopedic sports medicine and executive medical director for the AdventHealth Orthopedic Institute in Orlando.
Dr. Mullins specializes in injury prevention, overuse injuries, concussion and bone stress injury management. She has experience treating athletes across a variety of sports and teams, including the Atlanta Hawks, Atlanta Dream and Georgia Tech Athletics.
Drs. Osbahr and Mullins will provide sports medicine and athletic training alongside concussion-spotting responsibilities for the team.
