Klane White, MD, has been named chair of the department of pediatric orthopedics and the Rose Brown Endowed Chair of pediatric orthopedic surgery at Children's Hospital Colorado in Aurora.
Dr. White joins Children's Hospital from Seattle Children's Hospital and the University of Washington, according to an email shared March 16 with Becker's. He most recently served as director of skeletal and health dysplasia and medical director of orthopedic research.
In addition to his chair positions at Children's Hospital, Dr. White will serve as professor and vice chair of the department of orthopedics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, also in Aurora.
Dr. White currently serves as a founding member and president of the Skeletal Dysplasia Management Consortium. He also serves on the medical and scientific advisory boards for Little People of America and the National MPS Society.
Dr. White's clinical and research interests include the care of mucopolysaccharidosis and skeletal dysplasia, in addition to the diagnosis and management of early onset scoliosis, metabolic bone disease and complex spine deformity.
