Johnson & Johnson has appointed John Reed, MD, PhD, to its executive committee as executive vice president of pharmaceuticals, research and development.
Dr. Reed has been executive vice president and global head of research and development of pharmaceutical company Sanofi since 2018, according to a Feb. 13 release. He joins Johnson & Johnson with over three decades of experience in biomedical research.
Dr. Reed is also one of the ten most-cited researchers in life sciences and medicine, the release said. He will step into his new role April 3, replacing William Hait, MD, PhD, who has led Johnson & Johnson's pharmaceutical R&D organization in the interim since August.
