Robert Moser, MD, is the recipient of the Louis Gorin Award for Outstanding Achievement in Rural Health Care from the National Rural Health Association.
Dr. Moser currently serves as executive director of the Kansas Center for Rural Health at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, according to a May 1 news release.
Dr. Moser previously served as a rural primary care physician in Tribune, Kan., for 22 years, often acting as the county's sole physician. He joined the UKMC Wichita campus in 2010, serving as rural outreach director.
Dr. Moser then joined the faculty of the KU School of Medicine in 2014 as the executive director of the Kansas Heart and Stroke Collaborative for the University of Kansas Health System. He went on to become dean of the KU School of Medicine-Salina in 2019 before taking over as director of the Center for Rural Health in 2023.
