J. Nathan Hagstrom, MD, has been named the new regional director of the Mid-Atlantic region of federally funded hemophilia treatment centers.
Dr. Hagstrom is currently the physician-in-chief of Lehigh Valley Reilly Children's Hospital and is the chair of pediatrics at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, Pa., according to an April 3 news release from LVHN.
He has served on the regional executive committee for the Mid-Atlantic region HTCs for the past four years. As regional director, Dr. Hagstrom will ensure the Mid-Atlantic region's HTCs meet the standards and requirements for the Health Resources and Services Administration and CDC grants that fund the centers. The Mid-Atlantic region comprises 16 HTCs in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.
With this appointment, the Mid-Atlantic region's core center for HTCs has moved from Children's Hospital of Philadelphia to LVHN.
