Cate Collings, MD, was called to provide the Biden-Harris administration with data on ending hunger and reducing diet-related diseases by 2030 during the annual White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition and Health.
Dr. Collings works as the chief medical officer for HealthFleet, a company that provides resources for people suffering from chronic health conditions.
Dr. Collings worked with the White House to provide ways to meet the administration's objective of solving nutritional insecurity.
"The conference initiatives and commitments will accelerate a long-needed focus on food as medicine and mitigation of the ever-rising diet-related chronic disease that burdens individuals, families and our country. HealthFleet and its programs are an important part of the solution," Dr. Collings said in an Oct. 4 HealthFleet press release.
