1 in 3 physicians have used AI scribe tools: Survey

Roughly 1 in 3 primary care physicians have tried using AI scribe tools, according to a recent survey from Elation Health.

The survey polled 229 primary care physicians on the potential benefits, ideal features and challenges of adopting artificial intelligence in their practice.

The survey found that 67% of primary care physicians have yet to try an AI scribe solution, with physicians listing lack of confidence in accuracy, lack of integration or access through existing options, and not enough time to research options as reasons behind their hesitancy to try AI scribe tools.

However, among those who had not yet tried AI scribe tools, 93% said they anticipate it reducing documentation burden, 83% said they expect higher-quality documentation and 87% said they anticipate it will allow more time for care coordination.
