Eva Slavcheva, MD, has been appointed chief medical officer of St. David's Georgetown Hospital in Georgetown, Texas.
Dr. Slavcheva assumed her role April 1, following the retirement of longtime chief medical officer Jim Donovan, MD, according to an email release shared April 25 with Becker's. Her appointment was followed by the appointment of Kyle Landry as the hospital's next chief executive officer April 17.
Dr. Slavcheva has been with the St. David's Healthcare system for over a decade, most recently serving as director of utilization review and chair of St. David's Georgetown Hospital's department of medicine.
Prior to joining St. David's, Dr. Slavcheva treated patients as an internist and hospitalist at Austin Diagnostic Clinic and Hospital Internists of Austin (Texas). She also held roles at Baylor Scott and White Health at locations in Marble Falls and Temple, Texas.
