Heartland Whole Health Institute names chief medical officer

Heartland Whole Health Institute, which is affiliated with Bentonville, Ark.-based Alice L. Walton School of Medicine, appointed John Findley, MD, as its chief medical officer. 

The organization, which was founded in 2019 by philanthropist Alice Walton, aims to improve patient outcomes, reduce costs and expand access to care in the U.S., according to a June 10 news release from the institute. 

"Dr. Findley brings nearly three decades of diverse experience leading meaningful change and innovation in healthcare," Walter Harris, president and CEO of the institute, said in the release. "I am confident his thought leadership and commitment to excellence will advance our work to transform healthcare and deliver on our mission to bridge the gaps to better health, together."

Dr. Findley most recently served as president of Bryan Health Connect, a physician hospital organization in Lincoln, Neb., according to the release. His new role is effective June 24.
