The American Medical Association has recognized 72 healthcare organizations through its Joy in Medicine Health System Recognition Program.
The program recognizes healthcare organizations that have made efforts to address the systemic causes of physician burnout in areas such as commitment, assessment, leadership, teamwork, peer support and practice-environment efficiency, according to an Oct. 4 article from the AMA.
The Joy in Medicine Health System Recognition Program awards three levels of recognition: bronze, silver and gold.
These are the 10 health systems earning gold recognition:
- Atrium Health (Charlotte, N.C.)
- ChristianaCare (Newark, Del.)
- Northwestern Medicine (Chicago)
- Ochsner Health (New Orleans)
- Sanford Health (Sioux Falls, S.D.)
- Southern California Permanente Medical Group (Pasadena)
- Stanford Medicine (Palo Alto, Calif.)
- The Permanente Medical Group (Oakland, Calif.)
- UCHealth (Aurora, Colo.)
- UT Southwestern Medical Center (Dallas)
