One in 5 physicians report inadequate support from executives and leadership, according to a survey conducted by Jarrad.
The survey polled physicians working in nonprofit, investor-owned and independent practice settings and found that physicians in nonprofit seeings were most likely to feel unsupported, with 28 percent reporting that they either "strongly disagree" or "somewhat disagree" that they receive good support from leadership.
The survey also found that only 50 percent of physicians reported having "a lot or a great deal of trust" in their leadership's honesty and transparency, with 55 percent of male physicians reporting trust and only 42 percent of female physicians feeling the same.
Leadership trust also varied across decisions, with 53 percent of physicians reporting having trust in their leaders to make good decisions for patients, but only 50 percent of physicians reporting trust in their leaders' operational decisions.
