Mercy Northwest Arkansas in Rogers has added 32 new physicians to its team in the second phase of its new growth plan, according to a Jan. 10 report from the Northwest Arkansas Democrat Gazette.
Mercy Northwest committed $500 million to this phase of regional growth, previously committing $1 billion over the course of the last 10 years.
The last development phase included a 275,000-square-foot expansion, while this phase aims to double physicians and specialists in the region, build out the top floors of the Rogers hospital and add new clinics.
"The physicians and advanced practice providers we have already hired address current needs for primary care and multiple specialties, including neurosurgery, rheumatology, urology, psychiatry, orthopedics, gastroenterology and pulmonology, among others," Eric Pianalto, chief strategic growth for Mercy Arkansas, told the Gazette.
