Joel Yuhas is stepping down as president and CEO of Denver-based UCHealth Memorial and UCHealth's Pikes Peak regional facilities after six years in the position.
Mr. Yuhas joined UCHealth in 2017 and made several notable changes to the system including establishing a stroke center, advancing primary care, behavioral health and orthopedics and acquiring two additional Colorado hospitals.
He is moving to a new position at UPMC, where he will oversee 37 hospitals across three states.
"My time here has been a highlight of my career that I will always fondly remember," Mr. Yuhas said in a Dec. 15 press release. "I am particularly grateful to have been a part of UCHealth and this region as we have grown over the years, improving access and delivering better care for our patients."
