Robin Zon, MD, has been named the next president of the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Zon will take over as president-elect following the ASCO Annual Business Meeting on June 5, 2023, and will serve as president during the 2024-2025 term, according to a Dec. 19 report from the ASCO Post.
Dr. Zon was recently named the ASCO Advocate of the Year for her work advocating for individuals with cancer and their cancer care teams. She currently sits on the board of governors for ASCO's CancerLinQ and served on the ASCO board of directors from 2010 to 2013.
Dr. Zon previously served as president of Michiana Hematology Oncology in Mishawaka, Ind., where she currently practices as physician emeritus. She also served as the principal investigator for the Northern Indiana Cancer Research Consortium.
