Mark Freeman, MD, has been selected as the new chief medical adviser for bioskills training and cadaver lab Axis Research & Technologies.
Dr. Freeman is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and practicing physician with Erlanger Health System in Chattanooga, Tenn., according to a March 2 news release. He has a biomedical engineering degree in addition to his medical education and is a research abstract reviewer for the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
In his new role, Dr. Freeman will provide clinical input and strategic advice for improving labs or events. He will also work to connect Axis with universities, healthcare systems, academic facilities and surgery centers.
