- New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery named Daniel Green, MD, and David Mayman, MD, as chief of pediatric orthopedic surgery and chief of adult joint replacement and reconstruction, respectively.
- David Zaas, MD, was appointed president of Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, N.C.
- Boris Pasche, MD, PhD, was appointed president and CEO of Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit.
- Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City appointed Answorth Allen, MD, and Mathias Bostrom, MD, as associate surgeons-in-chief.
- Richard Vath, MD, president and CEO of Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System, announced plans to retire in June.
- The National Institutes of Health named Jeanne Marrazzo, MD, as director of its National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
- Mark Keroack, MD, announced plans to retire as CEO of Springfield, Mass.-based Baystate Health in July.
- Darrell Gray, MD, was named president of Wellpoint Maryland, a coordinator of Medicaid managed healthcare benefits in the state and a subsidiary of Elevance Health.
- Clinical research company WGC appointed Donna Snyder, MD, executive physician.
