Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente has been serving patients in eight different regions since 1945. Here are 17 regional and medical group leaders to know:
1. Carrie Owen Plietz is the regional president of Northern California. She oversees 21 hospitals and 268 medical offices.
2. Richard Isaacs, MD, is the CEO and executive director of the Permanente Medical Group. He is also a co-CEO of the Permanente Federation.
3. Julie Miller-Phipps is the regional president of Southern California, where she oversees 15 hospitals and 236 medical offices.
4. Ramin Davidoff, MD, is the executive medical director and chair of the board for the Southern California Permanente Medical Group where he supports 23,000 physicians in eight Kaiser regions.
5. Mike Ramseier is the regional president of the Colorado region where he manages 41 medical offices.
6. Jeffrey Krawcek, MD, is the president and executive medical director of the Colorado Permanente Medical Group, where he has been serving since 2008.
7. Pamela Shipley is the regional president of the Georgia region, where she manages 26 medical centers.
8. Nkem Chukwumerije, MD, is the president and executive medical director of the Southeast Permanente Medical Group.
9. Greg Christian is the market president of the Hawaii region. He manages 28 medical offices and locations.
10. John Yang, MD, is the president and medical director of Hawaii Permanente Medical Group where he has worked since 2020.
11. Ruth Williams-Brinkley is the regional president of the mid-Atlantic states, where she oversees operations in Maryland, Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C.
12. Richard Isaacs, MD, is the president and CEO of the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group. He manages over 11,000 physicians in the region.
13. Jeff Collins is the regional president of the Northwest. He manages operations in Oregon and Vancouver, Wash.
14. Leong Koh, MD, is the president and CEO of Northwest Permanente. He leads more than 1,700 physicians and staff members.
15. John Snyder, DMD, is the dental director and CEO of Permanente Dental Associates. He is currently serving his second term in the role.
16. Ron Vance is the interim president for the Washington region. He is in charge of 38 facilities and 662,868 members.
17. Paul Minardi, MD, is the president and executive medical director of the Washington Permanente Medical Group. He was appointed to the role in 2019.
