Health technology company Abridge has partnered with the University of Kansas Health System to rollout its artificial intelligence-powered medical documentation technology to the Kansas City, Kan.-based health system's more than 140 locations.
Abridge's technology aims to address the physician burnout attributed to the amount of time physicians need to spend on documentation, according to a March 2 release.
The AI documentation technology identifies over 90 percent of the key points from conversations between physicians and patients and uses those points to generate summaries for clinicians.
This partnership is the largest rollout of generative AI in healthcare and aims to support 1,500 physicians across the University of Kansas Health System, the release said.
