Colorado bill eliminates physician supervision requirement for PAs

Colorado has passed a bill that expands the ability of physician assistants to practice medicine in physician practices and other health care facilities.

SB23-083, which goes into effect Aug. 7, will no longer require physicians and podiatrists to supervise their PAs, instead requiring an ongoing collaborative agreement that is set by the employer, physician or physician group.
