Children's Hospital of Orange County in Orange, Calif., has expanded its physician wellness program by appointing Anjalee Galion, MD, as its inaugural physician wellness officer.
Dr. Galion has already begun her work addressing physician wellness at the hospital, according to a Feb. 28 news release from the hospital. These improvements include opening two lounge spaces for physicians caring for patients in the level 1 trauma center.
CHOC also is one of just a few of the children's hospitals selected to participate in the American Medical Association's annual wellness survey.
CHOC's efforts to address physician wellness will focus on three main principles: personal resilience, efficiency of practice and culture of wellness, the release said.
