Detroit-based Henry Ford Health appointed Tim Peterson, MD, as the new chief medical officer of its Jackson, Mich.-based medical group, NBC affiliate WILX reported Oct. 10.
Dr. Peterson will work with Henry Ford Allegiance Health's medical directors on quality of care and performance monitoring initiatives and strategic planning, according to WILX.
"Dr. Peterson is a highly qualified healthcare leader with a background in integrated health system administration and practice initiatives," Mark Smith, MD, CEO of Henry Ford Allegiance Medical Group, told the news station. "He has extensive experience with large-scale population health strategy and operations as well as value-based care."
