Internal medicine reported the highest pay increase of any specialty featured in the AMGA's Medical Group Compensation and Productivity Survey.
The survey included data from more than 193,000 providers, including physicians and advanced care practitioners. The compensation data focused on base salary and voluntary compensation reductions.
1. Internal medicine: 6.4 percent
2. Family medicine: 6.1 percent
3. Pediatrics and adolescent — general: 5 percent
4. Orthopedic surgery: 4.6 percent
5. Hematology and medical oncology: 3.2 percent
6. General surgery: 2.5 percent
7. OB-GYN (general): 2.4 percent
8. Cardiology: 2.1 percent
9. Neurology: 1.9 percent
