Eastern Carolina Emergency Physicians has merged with Emergency Care Partners, a national provider of emergency medicine and emergency department management services for hospitals in Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona, Louisiana, Florida, New York, Illinois and North Carolina.
The combined platform will service departmental operations at 49 locations, according to a July 14 news release. The merger will encompass 900 physicians and other providers that treat an estimated 1.2 million patients annually.
ECP will remain a majority physician-held business and ECEP's physician partners will join as shareholders, with Carrie Fales, MD, set to serve as president of ECEP.
