Working long hours is the most challenging part of female physicians' jobs, according to Medscape's "Female Physician Compensation Report 2023."
The report was compiled from a survey of 10,011 respondents across more than 29 specialties.
Here are the most challenging parts of female physicians' jobs:
Long hours at work: 20%
Rules and regulations: 19%
Dealing with difficult patients: 16%
Working with an EHR system: 11%
Dealing with Medicare and/or other insurers for fair reimbursement: 11%
Worrying about being sued: 8%
Danger/risk associated with treating patients with COVID-19: 1%
Other: 12%
