Lehigh Valley cuts 240 jobs

Allentown, Pa.-based Lehigh Valley Health Network has eliminated approximately 240 positions as part of restructuring.

The network employs 20,000 workers across 13 hospital campuses and numerous other care sites in Eastern Pennsylvania and is restructuring "to grow in areas where the community needs services and right-size in areas where demand is not as great," according to a statement shared with Becker's.

The cuts were made across the network and did not affect clinical bedside positions, although an LVHN spokesperson did not offer details on the specific positions affected by the restructuring.
