5 UnitedHealth market and leadership moves to know

Here are five UnitedHealth market and leadership moves physicians should know that Becker's has reported on in October:

  1. Neil de Crescenzo, former CEO at Change Healthcare, departed as CEO of Optum's data and analytics arm after less than a year in the role and was replaced by Roger Connor, UnitedHealth Group's executive vice president of enterprise operations and services.
  2. UnitedHealth Group is looking to add around 1 million Medicare Advantage and commercial members by the end of 2023. 
  3. UnitedHealth Group recorded double-digit growth in revenue year over year across its core lines of business at UnitedHealthcare and Optum.
  4. Marcus Robinson was promoted to CEO of UnitedHealthcare's individual and family plans business.
  5. A pair of lawmakers called on the Federal Trade Commission and Justice Department's antitrust division to "carefully scrutinize" UnitedHealth Group's proposed $3.3 billion acquisition of home and hospice care provider Amedisys.
