Geraldine Ong, MD, a cardiologist and clinical investigator, has been appointed medical director of NYU Langone Health’s Aortic Center in New York City, according to an email shared with Becker’s.
Dr. Org has also been named a clinical associate professor in the department of medicine at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. She joins NYU Langone from St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, where she led the aortic clinic and served as the interventional echocardiographic lead for the structural heart program.
Dr. Ong specializes in the diagnosis and management of aortic and aortic valve diseases, connective tissue disorders and advanced cardiac imaging. She completed her cardiology residency at Laval University in Quebec City, Canada. She then completed a level 3echocardiography fellowship at St. Michaels, followed by an interventional echocardiography fellowship at the Cardiovascular Research Foundation, New York-Presbyterian, Columbia University and Quebec Heart and Lung Institute in Quebec City.
