Stanley Fiel, MD, has been named chief medical officer of Morristown (N.J.) Medical Center, according to a March 22 report from ROI-NJ. Dr. Fiel has served as interim chief medical officer since May 2022.
Dr. Fiel has treated patients at Morristown and served as chairman for the department of medicine for almost two decades. He also teaches as a professor of medicine at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.
Dr. Fiel is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Chest Physicians. He has also published over 200 pieces on his research interests, which include the treatment of obstructive pulmonary disorders and the mechanisms of inflammation in cystic fibrosis.
