Three biotechnology companies have named new chief medical officers.
Michael Vasconcelles, MD, has been appointed chief medical officer of ImmunoGen, according to a July 31 news release. He previously served as executive vice president of research, development and medical affairs and steps into this new role following the departure of Anna Berkenblit, MD.
BioXyTran named Leslie Ajayi, MD, PhD, interim chief medical officer and chief of the medical advisory board, according to a July 31 news release. He joins BioXyTran with over two decades of clinical and academic experience, specializing in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine and clinical pharmacology.
Charisse Sparks, MD, was appointed chief medical officer of Inspire Medical Systems, according to a July 31 news release. She most recently served as chief medical officer of AppliedVR and previously sat on Inspire's board of directors and nominating and corporate governance committee.
